A brighter path forward

Compassionate therapy services to help you grow, heal, and thrive

Hi, I'm Jen—a qualified, BACP-registered therapist. As an autistic professional, I know how challenging it is to navigate a neurotypical world. My goal is to provide a supportive space where your experiences are valued, and together we’ll explore strategies tailored to you. Starting therapy can be tough, so if you’re here, that’s a great first step—I’m ready to walk with you on your journey toward healing.

About me

Sunshine Therapy was founded with a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves access to compassionate, professional mental health support. I understand that seeking help takes courage, which is why I've created a warm, welcoming environment where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.

Sunshine lifts our mood and brightens our perspective. Sunny days encourage us to spend time outdoors, boosting serotonin and instilling optimism. The warmth of sunlight can make it easier to manage stress and feel comforted.

Exposure to sunlight helps regulate sleep, improves energy, and enhances wellbeing. Whether through a walk in the park or connecting with friends, sunny days remind us of the healing power of nature.

Sunshine Therapy was born!

My approach combines therapeutic techniques with genuine empathy and understanding, through lived experience let me support you while you navigate life's challenges and discover your inner strength. Feeling like you don't belong in this world is a familiar feeling to me, I do not always fit well into most people’s normal.

As a late diagnosed autistic, I can fully empathise with feelings of alienation, despair and not good enough. I'm proud to be able to offer all my clients a sense of belonging, and calm, to feel understood, heard and most of all accepted for who you are.

Specialist therapy services

I offer a range of specialised talking therapies and counselling designed to meet your unique needs. My approach is deeply empathetic, focusing on understanding and responding to what truly matters to you, providing practical and compassionate support.

Vegan counselling

Sensitive and understanding support tailored for individuals navigating the unique emotional and psychological aspects of a vegan living in a non vegan world and the challenges this may cause. Through lived experience let’s walk through this together.

Walk and talk nature therapy

Combine the benefits of therapy with the restorative power of nature. Walk and talk sessions can provide a dynamic, refreshing environment for reflection and growth. A healthy boost of fresh air thrown in.

Pet loss support

Losing a companion animal can be utterly devastating, leaving a deep ache that is often difficult to express. These beloved pets are not just animals; they are cherished family members, confidants, and sources of unconditional love. Their absence can create a profound emptiness in our hearts and homes, and yet the pain of pet bereavement is frequently minimised or overlooked by others.

Neurodiverse counselling

Neurodiverse counselling recognises that neurodiversity is a natural part of human variation and embraces the unique strengths and challenges faced by neurodiverse individuals. Rather than viewing these differences as deficits, neurodiverse counselling focuses on understanding and valuing each person’s distinctive perspective.
